This was another painting commissioned by KING magazine. This piece was a fun challenge . . . I had just over three days to finish this one . . . the main challenge was to place the three characters all within the same setting with the same lighting and so forth. Each reference I found of my actors was from completely different lightings, and all three vary in complexion. For this I created a palette of colors that I wanted to use, mixed up a "mud" color and then mixed that "mud" color into the rest of my colors. The art went with a script, so I simplified the background and care to direct focus to my characters.
